Redx Holdings Limited (hereinafter referred to as “Redx“) is Australia’s leading provider and operator of Internet of Things solutions in the fields of intelligent energy metering, power distribution and energy efficiency management, and intelligent public utilities. It consists of four business segments of Three shareholders of Wasion Holdings Limited which was successfully listed on the main board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in 2005. It is the first professional group of energy metering and energy efficiency management listed on the main board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in China and of which KTQGroup., of which Dr.Chen (Jonathan) Research and Development Team. Redx China and Redx Distribution are two 100% subsidiaries of Redx Energy Technology Co. which has 4 warehouse facilities across Australia specializing in renewable energy equipment distribution and project development.

Project Overview:

Byron Bay Resorts project is located in Byron Bay Reserve National Park. It is composed of a set of 0.7MW/1MWh using lithium iron phosphate batteries. Key achievements:

  • Using Redx AI software to balance power consumption to cut down the network charges
  • Using large and small batteries to reduce installation costs (central location for large battery)
  • Rooftop PV panels on some of the 202 individual houses
  • Independent cost-effective PV inverters on houses with PV panel installations
  • Cut the monthly bill of electricity by 50%, to achieve $400,000 savings + $63,000 CO2 credit per year

Project Overview:

Reflection Holiday Parks- Shaws Bay is a unique holiday destination located in the coastal town of East Ballina in NSW Australia. The holiday park offers a variety of accommodation options to suit all needs, from fully self–contained cabins to powered and unpowered camping sites. During peak seasons, the park’s main circuit breakers tripped occasionally to cause blackout events due to high demand. The park management understands the inconvenience this may cause and chooses to implement the peak power shaving solution developed by Redx Technology to manage their peak demand.

Project Scale: 15MW/30MWh Energy Storage Project

Project Overview:

The YueShuiDian Energy Storage System project in Lingao County, Hainan Province is composed of six sets of 2.5MW/5MWh sub-systems, totaling 15MW/30MWh using lithium iron phosphate batteries. The 2.5MW power conversion and boosting integrated cabin utilizes a reduced 2.5MW capacity of the UPNE-2750KW model from ShangNeng Electric. The battery cabin is built using a 45-foot container, with each container comprising two 2.5MW battery stacks. The cabin is equipped with air conditioning, fire protection, and emergency lighting systems. The overall management and scheduling of the energy storage power station is realized by an EMS energy management system. The energy storage system is mainly used for grid-connected power generation and frequency modulation.

Project Overview:

The YueShuiDian Bachu County 800,000-kilowatt market-oriented grid-connected photovoltaic power generation project is located in Bachu County, Xinjiang Province, with a total energy storage capacity of 140MWh. The battery cabin is built using a 45-foot container and is equipped with air conditioning, fire protection, and emergency lighting systems. The overall management and scheduling of the energy storage power station is realized by an EMS energy management system. The configuration of the energy storage device is mainly used for system peak shaving, smoothing the photovoltaic processing curve, and reducing the impact on the power grid.

Project Scale: 60MW/120MWh Energy Storage Project

Client: CRRC Zhuzhou Institute Co., Ltd

Location: Hangjin Banner, Ordos City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, China

Project Overview:

The Hangjin Banner Energy Storage Project in Inner Mongolia has a capacity of 60MW/120MWh and is located within the Huaxin New Energy wind power station boosting station. It serves as supporting equipment for the boosting station and wind farm, and only our company provides the energy storage cabins and their accompanying equipment inside the cabin, such as the busbar cabinet, fire protection system, air conditioning system, and emergency lighting. The project is equipped with 24 battery cabins, and 20 have already been shipped, with 16 of them already installed.

Project Scale: 50MW/100MWh Energy Storage Project

Project Overview:

This project is located in Chenqiao Village, Yuyang Town, Qianjiang City, Hubei Province, with a total installed capacity of 50MW/100MWh. The energy storage system is composed of 20 sets of 2.5MW/5MWh subsystems. Each subsystem consists of a battery cabin and a boosting and inverting integrated cabin. The battery cabin is designed and installed using a 45-foot standard container, which integrates the battery system, battery management system, monitoring system, and auxiliary systems (temperature control, fire protection) into one. The container contains 12*215kWh battery systems (including battery modules, battery boxes, battery cabinets, and two sets of three-tier battery management systems BMS), one AC control cabinet, two busbar cabinets, one automatic fire protection system, and cooling system equipment. The boosting and inverting integrated cabin is designed and installed using a 20-foot standard container, which integrates two PCS-2500 energy storage inverters, one 2500 boosting transformer, one communication control cabinet, and some supporting auxiliary equipment. The overall management and scheduling of the energy storage power station is realized by an EMS energy management system. The configuration of the energy storage device is mainly used for system peak shaving, smoothing the photovoltaic processing curve, and reducing the impact on the power grid.

Project Scale: 1MW/1.634MWh Energy Storage Project

Location: Zhujindu Electrochemical Co., Ltd., Xiangxiang City, Hunan Province, China

Project Overview:

This project is a 1MW/1.634MWh energy storage project, which mainly integrates the battery, BMS, energy storage inverter, energy management system, temperature control system, fire protection system, lighting system, communication monitoring system, and intelligent auxiliary system organically into a 40-foot standard container. This standard unit has its own independent power supply system (self-powered), temperature control system, insulation system, flame retardant system, fire alarm system, video monitoring system, safety evacuation system, emergency system, fire protection system, and ventilation system with automatic control and safety protection. The prefabricated cabin has excellent maintainability and replaceability, which is convenient for equipment maintenance, repair, and replacement. The battery system in the prefabricated cabin contains 8 battery clusters, each battery cluster consisting of 19 battery packs and 1 high-voltage box, and mounted on a battery rack. Each battery pack consists of 280Ah cells grouped in a 1P12S configuration. The rated voltage of each battery pack is 38.4V, and the capacity is 10.75kWh. The rated voltage of each battery cluster is 729.6V, and the capacity is 204kWh. The total voltage of the entire energy storage system is 729.6V, the total energy is 1.634MWh, and the system power is 1MW. Two sets of 500kW PCS are selected, each set connected to 4 battery clusters. The battery management system adopts a three-tier architecture, which includes 152 sub-controllers, 8 main controllers, and 2 central controllers, with each sub-controller managing one battery box, each main controller managing one battery cluster, and each central controller managing 4 battery clusters. The equipment selection in the project is reasonable and reliable, with complete parameters and perfect safety protection. The system features stable performance of lithium iron phosphate batteries, good consistency, reliable heat dissipation scheme, perfect fire protection and video monitoring configuration, high degree of maintenance-free, and comprehensive and reasonable system function configuration.

Project Scale: 2.5MW/5MWh Energy Storage Project

Client: Hunan Liancheng Photovoltaic Storage Development Co., Ltd

Location: Xiangtan Economic Development Zone, Hunan Province, China

Project Overview:

This project utilizes a 2.5MW/5MWh lithium iron phosphate energy storage system, which is independently integrated by Wisdom Electric. The system consists of two 40-foot energy storage compartments and one 20-foot boost converter compartment, occupying a total area of approximately 328 square meters within the Wisdom Electric Industrial Park boundary. This project is a residential energy storage system within the large customer of Desheng Incremental Distribution Network for the Xiangtan power grid. It is connected to the 10kV distribution line on the network side, making it an excellent demonstration project with various operating modes that can also serve JiuHua’s source-grid-load-storage integration.
